Puzzle Framing Hack #2 - The $10 Renewable Hack

February 23, 2020

Okay Lady Jigsaw Puzzle Framing Hack #2 - THE $10 RENEWABLE HACK

Honestly Lady, once you see how easy this Puzzle framing hack is, you won't even mind braving Ikea on a weekend to make it happen!

"Her Best Friend" Puzzle

As with all our DIY tutorials, you need to glue your jigsaw first, so head HERE for a "how to".

This is by far, the simplest and cheapest of all the different ways to turn your Puzzle into wall art.

You will need:

- 1 x set of 61cm Visbäck Poster Hangers from Ikea
- Wool or cotton or twine of whatever kind of hanging fixture you'd like to add (optional)
- Cardboard mount board (optional)

These Poster Hangers are made from bamboo and are certified as 100% renewable which we LOVE.
They have small holes in the back, so can attach directly to hooks on a wall if you prefer not to hang them like we have.

If you would like to make a fixture and keep it eco-friendly, go for wool, cotton or bamboo threads, as these will breakdown back into the earth when eventually discarded.

We plaited our wool by tying the 3 ends to a table leg and sat away from the table to ensure nice, tight tension during the winding process and no tangles.

You can absolutely slide your Puzzle directly into the hangers, but we aren't sure how long gravity will allow it to stay in one piece once it's on the wall - even when it has been glued together - so we opted to attach Her Best Friend to some white mount board, (that you can pick up at Officeworks) by simply using the clips that come with the hangers.

Once the Puzzle is clipped into place (use a ruler to get it centred if you're that kinda gal), simply loop the plaited yarn on each end of the bamboo and hang the centre over your hook.

That's it. You're done!

Mindfulness and home decorating. Too easy!

We'd LOVE to see your Puzzles on display in your home, so don't forget to tag us on the socials @okayladyau
